Missions

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NIV)

Missions at Northside

Northside Church goes into the community and beyond

“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Matthew 9:37-38

At Northside Church, we take this calling to heart. Our mission is to bring people to Jesus and learn to follow Him together. This includes stepping into the harvest through service, outreach, and missions both locally and around the world. Our missions welcome anyone who is looking to grow in faith and take their next step with Jesus.

MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY

Mission Trip to Scotland, Orkney Islands

October 2-10, 2026
Total Cost:
$4,100 per person
U.S. Passport Required

Countless souls are perishing across Scotland’s most deprived communities. The schemes are strong and vibrant Scottish communities with a rich history but are often hit hard by complex social problems. They also happen to be the places least likely to have a gospel church or indigenous Christians. The local church is the answer. Christ is building His church and transforming the schemes of Scotland. He has used 20 schemes to reach more than 16 schemes across Scotland so far.

Join us as we pour into a brand-new scheme ministry in Orkney, pouring into the youth of the community as well as their newly acquired Community Center.

This trip includes round trip airfare, guest housing, meals, ground transportation, ministry supplies, and trip insurance.

MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY

Mission Trip to New York City

October 16-18, 2026
Total Cost:
$525 per person
Ages 16+ unless accompanied by a parent.

New York City is one of the most international and diverse cities in the world and a mission field full of opportunity. Since 1984, the New York School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM) has hosted, trained, and sent out more than 150,000 youth and adults to serve alongside inner-city pastors, churches, and ministries throughout NYC.

Each year, around 5,000 people come through NYSUM’s doors, receiving practical, hands-on training for urban ministry. Teams come from churches, Bible colleges, missions organizations, and universities. Many return home inspired to start similar outreach efforts in their own communities.

During a trip, groups learn about cross-cultural urban ministry while serving those in need, including the homeless, abused women, at-risk children, and people from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds. Outreach opportunities include street ministry, soup kitchens, kids’ programs, city shelters, and more.

NYSUM operates out of a 70,000 square foot training and resource center in Astoria, Queens. They provide accommodations and home-style meals for both small and large teams. This is a great opportunity to experience the heart of ministry in the city while being equipped to serve wherever God leads next.

This trip includes meals, housing, ground transportation and ministry supplies.

Mission to Cornerstone City Church in Connecticut

November 18-21, 2026
Total Cost: $650 per person
(Non-Refundable Deposit of $250 due at sign up)

You’re invited to be part of a meaningful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Norwich, Connecticut. This small town is home to many families facing deep economic hardship.

In partnership with Pastor David Holland and Cornerstone City Church, this mission trip will focus on preparing and serving Thanksgiving meals. Teams will also offer prayer, encouragement, and share the hope and love of Christ with the local community.

Why Norwich? While it may be small, Norwich is a community facing real challenges, including financial instability, isolation, and spiritual hunger. This trip is about meeting physical needs while also bringing spiritual comfort and connection to those who need it most.

Future Missions

Northside Church has many exciting mission opportunities coming up.

We have future trips planned to Scotland to serve the underprivileged and support local churches in the Highlands, to the Dominican Republic to work alongside local pastors in the capital, and to Brazil where we will assist a village in need and its pastor.

April 2026

Our ministry will extend to an abandoned school in Puerto Rico, serving the whole community with nightly worship, medical clinics, food distribution, and a Vacation Bible School for children.
