Discover Northside is a one-time class required for those interested in joining Northside as a member or for those who want to learn more about our family of faith. Discover Northside is held quarterly. See registration for available dates.

Becoming a Member

We know that joining a church can be intimidating at times, especially if you aren’t certain what that process looks like. The information below is designed to help you navigate easily through the membership process. If you have any questions about the information below, please contact the church office at 315.652.3160

Membership Qualifications

  • Every member must first be a part of the family of God through a genuine conversion of faith and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Every member must follow the Lord in Believers Baptism; this means by immersion and after receiving Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Members can join by transfer of letter from a like-minded Southern Baptist Church or through a statement of faith and Christian Baptism.
  • Every new member is required to attend a Discover Northside class. Discover Northside covers what we believe as a family of faith, our church structure, ways for you to get connected to plug in and serve, signing of a church covenant and more.
