Northside Church Interviews Familiar Faces

Watch our Northside Church interviews with people you may know. Listen to their stories!
As part of our Made For More series, we asked a few familiar faces to share their stories. These special moments show how God is using Northside to impact lives. Whether you’re new here or have been around a while, their experiences might just inspire your next step.

Over the past few weeks, we sat down with some of the incredible people who call Northside home – volunteers, life group members, Upward Sports athletes, and long-time attendees. As part of our Made For More series, they shared what Northside means to them, why they serve, and how God is using this church to make a difference in their lives and our community. Their stories are real, honest, and full of faith, and you just might recognize a few familiar faces!

You Might Know These Faces. Here’s What They Said About Northside!

Northside Church Interviews Kate Who Is Part Of The Greeter Team.

Kate: Creating a Welcoming First Impression

We’re proud to share that when we asked over 30 people to describe Northside in one word, the most common answer was “welcoming.”

That’s not by accident, and people like Kate play a big part in that.

As one of our amazing greeters, Kate knows how important it is to make people feel seen, cared for, and comfortable, especially on their first visit. Walking into a new church can feel overwhelming. That’s why our greeter team is intentional about going above and beyond to ensure no one walks in feeling alone or unsure. From a warm hello at the door to helping you find your seat, their goal is to make Northside feel like home, right from the front door.

Northside Church Interviews Brent, Who Is Part Of The Young Adults Ministry At Northside Church.

Brent: Finding Faith and Friendship in Young Adults Ministry

Thinking about checking out the Young Adults Ministry? Brent knows what that’s like, and in his story, he shares what helped him take that first step.

Jumping into something new can feel intimidating, but Brent chose to trust God and found a community that’s helped him grow in his faith. From retreats and game nights to meaningful conversations about Scripture, the Young Adults Ministry has become a place to grow, belong, and be challenged spiritually alongside others in the same season of life.

Northside Church Interviews Children'S Ministry Leader, Erin, At Northside Church.

Erin: Loving the Littlest Members of Northside

If you’ve ever dropped off a child at Northside’s nursery, chances are they were welcomed by someone like Erin.

Erin serves in our Children’s Ministry, creating a safe, energetic space for little ones to sing, play, and learn the words of Jesus. Whether it’s leading songs, reading a Bible story, or simply offering a reassuring smile, she and the nursery team pour love into every moment, so parents can attend service knowing their kids are not just cared for, but being introduced to the love of Christ in age-appropriate, meaningful ways.

Her joy is contagious, and her heart for kids reflects exactly why this ministry matters.

Northside Church Interviews Rebekka, Who Is On The Worship Team At Northside Church.

Rebekah: Leading Worship, Growing in Faith

Rebekah is a student who serves on both our Youth Worship Team and Sunday worship team. For her, worship is where she discovered her own personal faith.

Leading others in worship has helped Rebekah grow in humility, trust God more deeply, and walk through life with close friends by her side. Her story is a beautiful reminder that students are actively living out their purpose right now.

Northside Church Interviews An Upward Sport Athlete, Greyson.

Greyson: Growing Through Upward and Youth Ministry

Whether he’s at youth group, volunteering with kids, or playing in Upward Sports, Greyson is finding ways to grow in faith, and helping others do the same.

What stands out in Greyson’s story is how faith and friendship go hand in hand. From halftime devotionals to weekly youth nights, he’s discovered that Northside isn’t just a place to hang out, it’s a place where God is shaping lives and creating community with purpose.

Northside Church Interviews Alyssa, A Volunteer For Vacation Bible School At Northside Church.

Alyssa: Creating a Space for Kids to Experience God

As one of the leaders of Vacation Bible School, Alyssa helps bring the love of Jesus to life for hundreds of kids each summer.

Anything associated with the word “school” during the summertime can be a hard sell, but Alyssa and her team dedicate their time to make this a fun-filled experience for all the little ones. From decorating themed hallways to organizing games and Bible lessons, Alyssa is passionate about helping kids encounter God in ways they’ll remember forever. Her leadership reminds us that every week and every summer, God uses ordinary moments to spark lifelong faith.

We Were Made for More Together

At Northside, we believe church is more than a place you go on Sundays. You were made to belong, serve, and grow in community. Through stories like Kate’s, Brent’s, Greyson’s, Rebekka’s, Alyssa’s, and Erin’s, we see how God is at work in and through the people of Northside every day.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines or wondering where you fit in, we hope their stories encourage you to take the next step, whether that’s attending a service, jumping into a ministry, or just saying “hi” to someone new this weekend.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up, and we’ll meet you at the door.
