Community.
What ever happened to that? As time marches on, things change. And one of the changes that we've witnessed is the slow death of community. Sure, when hard times or disaster strike we're there for our fellow man. But our day-to-day lives are busy and don't leave much time for real community. Talking over the fence. Borrowing a cup of sugar. Getting to know one another.
God created us to have a relationship with Him. He also desires that we have relationships with each other. The Bible is full of instructions on how we are to relate to others. Somewhere along the way, we lost sight of that.
Small groups are about community. They are intentional and designed to bring us together on a level that can't be achieved by casual contact. No one is an island unto themselves. We all need other people.
By connecting to a small group, we can achieve a sense of belonging and community. Small groups generally consist of no more than 10 to 12 individuals who come together intentionally on a regular basis to fellowship, pray and study God's Word. The time, place, frequency and duration of small group meetings vary from group to group. The common denominator is community.
We encourage you to plug into a small group and experience real community with other believers. People in small groups get to know one another, pray for each other and share life in general together. Most importantly, however, they dedicate time to study God's Word and grow in their relationships with each other and with Him.
