What exactly is a disciple? Webster's Dictionary offers the following definition:

dis·ci·ple - one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another

In the case of the church, discipleship is the process by which one grows or matures as a disciple of Jesus Christ. After all, we accept and assist in the spreading of His doctrines.

On a personal level, we believe that everyone who has a personal relationship with Christ also has a personal responsibility to grow and mature in that relationship. There are a variety of ways in which this can be accomplished.

• Church attendance - regular hearing of the Word of God
• Sunday School - weekly lessons to help in your understanding of God's Word
• Small groups - Bible study and fellowship to strengthen your faith
• Mentoring - learning from the experiences of those more mature in the faith
• ...the list goes on and on...

Discipleship is an ongoing process that should begin as soon as a person comes to faith in Christ and continue for life. We offer a variety of opportunities for believers to grow in their relationships with the Lord. Check out one or more of the following:

• Worship Services - There's no substitute for the preaching of God's word. Our services typically consist of contemporary worship and preaching, but from time to time include testimonies, drama and media presentations as appropriate.
• Sunday School - Available for all ages from infants to 100 and beyond if necessary. Classes meet at 9:30 and 11:00am on Sundays.
• Bible Study - The Ladies meet on Tuesday mornings and evenings. The Men meet on Friday mornings. Young Adults (ATG) get together on Friday evenings. Teenagers are studying the Word together on Thursday nights. And don't forget the Children...they meet on Wednesday evenings.
• Small Groups - A growing ministry at Northside, Small Groups offers Bible study and fellowship in a host home.
• Evangelism Training - FAITH Sunday School Evangelism Strategy offers classes designed to teach you how to share your faith with others.
